Change happens when we learn to turn toward what's difficult, with compassion, curiosity, and support. As a graduate student pursuing my Master's in Holistic Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Salve Regina University, I aim to create a therapy space that supports this process and feels steady, collaborative, and responsive to your needs. In session, I focus on helping you build awareness, emotional capacity, and self-trust over time. Utilizing an experiential and relational approach, I tailor my work to you, helping you engage with emotions and experiences in ways that support growth and resilience.
My work is grounded in an eclectic, client-centered framework that honors your unique experiences. I draw from trauma-informed and evidence-based practices, blending creative expression, somatic work, nature-based healing, and mindfulness to support your journey. Together, we'll work to deepen your capacity to navigate difficult emotions and reconnect with what matters most to you. The goal is to help you integrate what we explore in therapy into your everyday life.
I work with children, adolescents, college students, and adults navigating anxiety, depression, OCD, life transitions, grief, trauma, relational patterns, and attachment wounds. If this resonates with you, please reach out, I'd be honored to work with you.

Graduate student in Holistic Mental Health at Salve University

Hi, my name is Lauren Goyette. I recently graduated from Salve Regina University, where I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and completed minors in Spanish and Applied Behavior Analysis. Currently, I am continuing my education at Salve and will obtain my Master’s degree in Holistic Clinical Counseling in Fall 2027. My ultimate goal is to become a Licensed Mental Health Counselor.
Although my career is just beginning, I am highly motivated and eager to expand my knowledge of the mental health field. In my role at Island Holistic Counseling, I primarily manage the practice’s social media platforms. This entails sharing information and resources regarding mental health and wellness for both clients and the community.
In the future, I hope to focus on prevention and early intervention, helping individuals develop skills to manage their mental health before challenges become too overwhelming. I am particularly interested in the mind–body connection and the role that movement plays in supporting overall well-being. I would love to eventually offer some form of walking therapy.
